The Strength of Lopers, Together
Since 2021, One Day for UNK has grown into a powerful tradition that unites the UNK community around a shared purpose: supporting students, strengthening campus life and creating opportunities for future generations of Lopers. Alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends from around the world continue to come together, demonstrating the extraordinary impact of collective generosity.
This is what it means to be a Loper … and we’re just getting started.
“We have students experience unexpected situations during the year that often require some type of financial assistance, like the loss of a job or a medical emergency. The generosity of our donors to the Emergency Student Assistance Fund helps ensure these students can continue with their educational journey without adding any additional financial stress.”
– Brad Green, Associate Director, UNK Office of Financial Aid
“One Day for UNK supports our Loper Launch Enrichment Camps! The monetary support allowed us to purchase learning supplies and helped reduce the registration costs for students from low-income backgrounds. Thank you for allowing access to any children who want to come and learn on UNK’s campus!”
– Amy Nebesniak Ed.D., Director of Loper Launch Enrichment Camps
“One Day for UNK helped the university purchase a new mental health resource for UNK students called Togetherall. Togetherall is a peer-to-peer online support community that our students can access 24/7. Gifts made to the UNK Student Health Fund are actually helping save students’ lives because so many students are having significant thoughts of suicide and feeling alone.”
– Kiphany Hof, Associate Director, UNK Counseling
“To every donor, advocate and supporter – thank you. Your generosity sends a powerful message to our students: that you believe in them, their potential and the future we’re building together at UNK. Watching this day unfold reminded me how much pride, purpose and unity define this university, and how truly powerful we are when we come together as a community.”
– Neal Schnoor, UNK Chancellor
"We are deeply grateful for the support shown during One Day for UNK. Your generosity strengthens both the Calvin T. Ryan Library and the Loper Success Hub, two spaces at the heart of student success. Because of you, we can enrich our campus with welcoming environments, meaningful services and new resources that ignite curiosity, build confidence and help students thrive. Your gift not only enhances learning and engagement today, but also creates a foundation of opportunity, belonging and growth for every Loper who walks through our doors.”
– Evan E Boyd, Dean, Calvin T. Ryan Library & Loper Success Hub
